Falmouth children make trip to wind farm

Pupils from St Mary’s School in Falmouth went green last Thursday on a fieldtrip to Roskrow wind farm.
With the help of Daniel Letch from Green Peninsula and Simon Pipkin fromCornwall Light and Power, the children from class six made the trip to learn allabout renewable energy.One of treats was to climb to the base of one of the wind turbines to see howit worked.
Deputy head Helen Bancroft said: “This was a fantastic experience for thechildren to get a hands on insight into the importance of renewable energy. Icannot thank Daniel and Simon and their respective companies enough for thiswonderful opportunity.”
